The Guitar program will involve private sessions which focus on basic to advance technique in the form of proper fingering, posture, picking, strumming, tuning of instrument, and sense of timing.
These subjects will be covered:
- Learning the fretboard which involves memorization (identifying each string by pitch as well as pitch of each fret position from 1st to 12th frets for each string)
- Proper finger technique while playing scales going up then down
- Learning the four scale groups (Major/Minor/Augmented/Diminished)
- Learning to develop good sense of timing and rhythm ( the inner clock )
- Developing a weekly chord digest
- Learning different strumming patterns
- Learning basic rhythm notation
- Learning the Treble clef
